Hopscotch Kids Shoes

Hopscotch shoes was voted winner of the Kids' Footwear Retailer of the Year at the Drapers Footwear Awards 2009 (the most prestigious awards in the footwear industry), on Thursday 7 May 2009. This year's gala dinner, at the Hilton Hotel in London, celebrated the best of the UK's footwear retailers and brands in the industry.

Organised by leading fashion business weekly magazine Drapers, this is a glittering event that recognises and celebrates the best in the industry and proved to be a fantastic night with comedian John Bishop hosting the evening and presenting the awards.Awards categories champion the best of the high street and the leading independent footwear retailers across the country, as well as the up and coming design talent.

These are the most prestigious awards for the footwear industry, and bring together around 500 industry leaders to celebrate and recognise the achievements of 18 of the most innovative and passionate footwear retailers, brands and students in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Other big winners on the night included retailers Footwise, New Look, Schuh, Beyond Skin and Converse. The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Stephen Rubin, Chairman of Pentland Group.

Lauretta Roberts, editor of Drapers magazine commented: "shortlisted companies here this evening should feel incredibly proud; it's a fantastic achievement at the best of times and even more so in the most challenging of times, which is what we're facing at the moment.
